ENERGIZE WV RADIO SPOTS FEATURING JOHN CORBETT ARE DESIGNATED AMONG BEST IN NATION.
Energize West Virginia with Natural Gas has achieved national recognition yet again. The prestigious Washington, D.C.-based Politics magazine announced last week its finalists for the Reed Awards, an annual competition that honors the best work in the nation in public affairs advertising. Two radio spots produced by Rainmaker on behalf of Energize West Virginia were selected as finalists for the coveted awards.
In two separate categories, "Best Use of Voice Over Talent," and "Best Radio Ad-Public Affairs," Rainmaker’s radio spots for Energize West Virginia with Natural Gas were singled out for recognition. Both spots featured West Virginia native and Hollywood actor John Corbett as the spokesperson for the state’s natural gas industry.
The national awards will be given out on January 29th in Washington, DC at the Reed Awards Conference and Dinner.
Rainmaker, a Charleston-based public relations and advertising firm founded in 2005 by partners Larry LaCorte and Kim Lawrence, won a Reed Award last year. Two years earlier, Rainmaker won another national honor for Energize West Virginia when the Energize WV logo was named a Pollie winner by the American Association of Political Consultants.
