Energize WV Receives State and National Honors

Energize West Virginia captured ten "Addy" awards in late February from the Advertising Association Federation (AAF) of West Virginia. The Addy competition recognizes creative excellence in advertising.

Each year 20 Gold awards, 20 Silver awards and one Best of Show are given to the top advertising agencies in West Virginia. This year the judges opted to bestow an additional award called “Judges Choice” based on the strength of the entries. That award also went to Energize WV.

Energize WV won six Gold and four Silver Addys for print ads, flash animation, direct mail pieces and the radio campaign that featured John Corbett as the spokesperson for Energize WV.

"I was thrilled, proud and excited to accept on behalf of Energize West Virginia," said Kim Lawrence, executive director of Energize WV and a partner with Rainmaker which won a total of 21 Addys (more than any other agency in West Virginia) including Best of Show.

Earlier in the year, Energize WV was named a Reed Award winner by Campaigns and Elections’ Politics Magazine for its radio spot, “It’s All Good,” featuring Energize WV spokesperson John Corbett.
